The essence of Ibiza comes to Barcelona!
Followers of Café del Mar are happy as they can already enjoy this well-known Ibiza icon in Barcelona since 27th May 2017. This club started as a small bar in the municipality of Sant Antoni in the 80s, but the reputation that Café del Mar has acquired over the years has been such, that it has become a famous international label with several headquarters in Spain, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Australia.
Located in the Port of the Forum of Sant Adrià, this new place is the largest in the world and the first with a club concept.
This luxurious venue has 4,000 m² and 4 exclusive areas: The Club, the Restaurant, the SkyLine Terrace and the Pool Zone. The latter is the largest one of all and offers a capacity for groups of up to 800 people. Events, dinners, parties and a wide range of activities will take place in this area.
Moreover, the club also offers the Boat Café del Mar, with a capacity of 350 people that will allow to see the sunset of Barcelona from high seas. It will have two official departures, one at noon and the other at sunset, always returning in time to enjoy the local shows on land.
Anyway, we should not let the magnitude of the place deceive us, because as one of the promoters of the project, Nacho Soler says, “this is not a macro disco”. The owners want to maintain their exclusivity, so their target is not mass tourism. However, this will not prevent the club from making shows, since they will celebrate one per day in summer season, either with live music or with the best DJ’s of chill out music.
Food lovers are also lucky with the opening, as the restaurant has a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant led by Chef Juan Jiménez.
The restaurant has sea views plus a terrace with capacity for 45 people. After tasting the specialties of Mediterranean cuisine, the dinner gives the client the opportunity to climb to the top floor where they can have signature cocktails while enjoying the views of the Barcelona skyline.
