In November 2023 we got a request from a Danish event agency from Copenhagen saying that they are looking for a good MICE hotel for around 200 persons and if possible in exclusive use close to Alicante. He already knew Barceló La Nucía from previous meetings and instantly loved it. We connected the event planner with our DMC partner maximice events group with local office in the region and from that moment the DMC was in charge to make a good offer including all the services.
The group stayed at Barceló La Nucía, which is composed by 2 enchanting buildings, Barceló La Nucía Hills and Barceló La Nucía Palms. Located one in front of the other, in total there is 242 elegant and sophisticated bedrooms and Junior Suites, along with five restaurants, two rooftop terraces, two wellness centres and gyms and five outdoor pools along with lush garden spaces, this hidden gem is a new discovering not to be missed. The small town of La Nucía is located between the coast and the mountains and belongs to Costa Blanca.

The group had plenary meetings, informal lunch and a standing up dinner at Barceló La Nucía in form of BBQ and with some music in the background in the hotel garden. Everything was set up in a lovely way by the pool and everyone had a relaxing evening with all the other colleagues.
The second day the group had their plenary meeting and farewell dinner at Vivood Landscape Hotel
Vivood is located 30minutes by bus from Barceló La Nucía. This was the perfect combination, as they enjoyed a meeting and dinner surrounded by nature and green landscapes. The MICE concept in Vivood is understood from the point of view of Slow MICE, a philosophy associated with values of sustainability, exclusivity and ecology.
The hotel has a flexible event space of 275 m2, divisible into three rooms with capacity for more than 300 people. The versatility allows to configure the interior space to host different types of events. The hotel also has excellent outdoor spaces for events and conferences, such as an outdoor amphitheater, terraces and gardens of more than 1000 m2. You can also book the entire hotel for your exclusive group.
In order to host the gala dinner, a big transparent tent was built up to ensure that no matter what the dinner would take place under the stars. Here you can see a bit how it was all set up the day before the event was actually taking place and how it looked at the end.
