We felt so special during our Fam Trip at Barceló La Nucía, who is our hotel partner since May 2022
2 years ago I started my partnership with Kimberley Anne Berryman from Barceló La Nucía, which is located close to Alicante and we understood each other from the first moment. When we were discussing our action plan for this year, Kim was sure that she wanted to include a Fam Trip and June was the best month, just before our Scandinavian event planners start their summer break.
Barceló La Nucía inaugurated in June 2021, is composed by 2 enchanting buildings, Barceló La Nucía Hills and Barceló La Nucía Palms. Located one in front of the other, in total there is 242 elegant and sophisticated bedrooms and Junior Suites, along with five restaurants, two rooftop terraces, two wellness centres and gyms and five outdoor pools along with lush garden spaces, this hidden gem is a great discovery not to be missed. The hotel visit was full of surprises as they organized a little improvised cinema, how to make a Vermouth with a professional bartender, a little flower workshop, 10min hand massage at the Spa, some tapas in one of their restaurants and finally a nice informal dinner at the Rooftop.
The next step was talking with our DMC partner maximice events group and involve them in the program and develop a nice day activity and something a bit creative and not the typical activity by the sea. They came up with the idea of doing Coastering, where we took them to the most unspoiled and crystal-clear coast of this area, on an adventure trail along the coast with some jumping into the water, sea rock climbing and some swimming.
The program included on-site and off-site activities some organized Kim’s team at Barceló La Nucía and some by the local Project Managers at maximice events group in the Valencian Comunity
The program also included lunch in Villajoyosa, a visit to Altea with some free time to explore the streets and shops, time to relax at the hotel Spa including a 30 minute massage and sauna, a surprise dinner in the garden under the stars with some live music and visit to their sister hotel Occidental Pueblo Acantilado the next day.
Occidental Pueblo Acantilado is situated on the El Campello Cliffs on the Costa Blanca and provides a very special stay by the sea. With its design inspired by a Mediterranean village, the hotel offers 100 spacious and comfortable guest rooms, an amphitheatre with capacity of 250 delegates adequate for meetings and presentations complement the four additional meeting spaces. Before heading to the airport, the hotel organized a healthy smoothies workshop, helt by the fabulous Pepe with a little competition. The activity took place in their Suite with breathtaking views to the Mediteterranean Sea and we enjoyed it all under the sun with a nice see breeze.
Thank you Kimberley Anne Berryman, Juan Manuel Mareque, Pablo Guzmán, Alicia Zublo, Irene Carasol and Liliam Vich for your passion while organizing everything and to our event planners from the Nordics for their time, interest and good vibes. The last day we asked our Scandinavian guests to give us just one word that describes the experience and they said: inspiring, food wine and tapas, amazing, nature and memorable. To many more moments like this!
