Discovering Mallorca with event organizers from Scandinavia

Mallorca has conquered the participants of our Fam Trip

In April 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, we signed a collaboration contract with maximice events group to represent them in the Scandinavian MICE market. From the beginning we were clear that one of the objectives was to organize Fam Trips to show the best of Spain to the event organizers. Above all, now it is important to have a DMC with a local office, which guarantees knowing first-hand what is going on in each city and how suppliers have evolved in the last two years.

Palma de Mallorca airport is very well connected to the main cities of Scandinavia and the Nordics love the island

From 7th til 10th November we organized an Educational Trip and although the weather forecast was for rain every day, the sun finally came out and we were able to do everything that was planned. The group stayed at the emblematic Meliá Palma Bay, which is located right in front of the sea and a few meters from the center. The fam trip officially began on Monday morning with a tour of the Palau de Congresos de Palma that offers many options for corporate meetings. Then we enjoy a meal in the sun a few meters from the sand of the beach. From there we went to visit the Ribas Winery with a subsequent wine tasting in one of its private and very cozy rooms. From there we went to enjoy a sunset cruise with a glass of cava. Finally we went to dinner in the old town of Palma where the night ended with an incredible atmosphere.

On the second day, the participants began with a Car Rally in convertible vintage cars of the Mustang brand, with which we discovered the Tramuntana passing through charming towns such as Valldemossa and Deiá. Then we went to a typical Mallorcan farm to cook our own Paella in a relaxed and fun way, although there was a small competition between the Norwegian and Swedish participants. From there we went to visit the Hotel Meliá Calvia Beach and Nikki Beach Club. In the afternoon we had time to go to the Spa at the Hospes Maricel Hotel, where we stayed and finally we went to have a drink in a private space in the Portals Nous area, where we also had a farewell dinner.

The island of Mallorca enjoys a warm climate throughout the year with an average annual temperature of 17º and more than 300 sunny days a year

We cannot be more happy and proud with the result of this ram Trip, knowing that the participants have taken good ideas for future groups and have left happy with the experience. If you want to see more photos of the Fam Trip you can CLICK HERE.
