A high level stay
After a long time waiting for the moment, the MAX Tourism team traveled to Girona to stay at Hotel Camiral at PGA Catalunya Resort.
After a 45 minute trip, we finally arrived at the hotel, which got us surprised with its beautiful atmosphere: we were 10 minutes away from the city of Girona and surrounded by two golf courses and 300 hectares of mature woods.
Once we entered the establishment, we were greeted by a friendly staff, who assigned us one of their 145 rooms. We did not expect to find a bottle of wine and macarons as a welcome gift!
We went down to enjoy their Lounge Bar, the ideal space to meet for a few drinks or cocktails, with a more informal dining option. We spend the rest of the afternoon in this stylish and cozy space, which has a unique cocktail list.
For dinner, we headed to its restaurant named 1477, which offers traditional recipes with an innovative touch. Led by the Catalan chef Ramon Simarro, whose experience ranges from Michelin-star restaurants in Barcelona to prestigious ones in London of international cuisine. The name of the establishment is in honor to the year in which a cook of the king of Naples wrote the first cookery book in Catalan language, which enriched the Spanish cuisine with the sophistication of the Italian courts.
The next day we went to 1477 again for breakfast, where we had some delicious churros with chocolate on the terrace. It was a sunny day and we wanted to make the most of it, so we went to the 25 meter pool area and enjoyed its beautiful views in a still summery atmosphere.
Although we wanted to stay longer in the hotel, we decided to take advantage of its proximity to the city of Girona, so after bidding farewell to the staff and picking up our bags, we headed to the provincial capital to visit its charms.
Hotel Camiral at PGA Catalunya Resort provided us an unforgettable experience with all kinds of touches that made us feel at home. Thank you and see you soon!
