It’s a good way to stay in contact with clients & partners and have a conversation.
At the beginning of this year we had planned to do 6 business trips to Scandinavia with our clients from Spain in order to promote their fantastic hotels, beach clubs and DMC services. Our last trip before the pandemic started in Europe ended on the 28th of February with a really good meeting in Copenhagen.
Now, it seems the future is been on hold. It’s a strange feeling not to know what will happen in the near future. But as I always say, we cannot stand still doing nothing. Therefore I started working on a plan b already in June. When I went to Mallorca beginning of July I met for dinner with Nadia Nemer from Nemer Studio who has an event marketing company and is really creative. We decided that same evening that we would partner up in order to create “online meetings with a twist” and be able to continue with the online communication.
We designed a boarding pass that gives access to our virtual trip to Spain, set up an agenda, recorded a promotional video and started contacting the event planners in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. On a parallel side I started developing a short presentation with Nadia, as the main focus was not to “sell” but to stay in touch and let them know that we are here for them if they need us in the future.
From the 6th til 8th of October 2020 we have had 9 virtual meetings and took our Scandinavian event planners through a journey to Spain, starting in Mallorca with maximice events group, who is our new DMC Partner with 10 offices in Spain and based in this beautiful Balearic island. The trip continued with a virtual Cocktail in Purobeach Palma and Illetas, from where you can smell the sea and celebrate all type of events. The next stop was at Purobeach Dénia, which is 40 minutes from Grand Hotel Luxor in Benidorm. This unique hotel offers incredible settings for indoor and outdoor activities. Last but not least the trip ended outside of Barcelona at Mas Salagros EcoResort, which stands out for its sustainable philosophy and is surrounded by nature.
