Incentives Barcelona, founded in 2002, brings an important extra to incentive trips, congress travel and events by being innovative and efficient in the arrangement plus flexible in the design of sustainable customized programs. Recently “U worth it” published an interview with “Incentives Barcelona” where they speak about the world of sustainable events.
How do you organize incentive trips that take into account the social and ecological impact?
We work with suppliers who apply sustainability criteria, we can measure the CO2 emissions for the event and offer the possibility to compensate for them, and we include social projects in our programs which enable our clients to contribute to the local community. In our proposals we always indicate which activities are sustainable with a symbol.
Could you share with us one example of sustainable activities your incentive trips include?
We organized a workshop related to the concepts of eco-gastronomy Slow Food in the Can Ruget Bio Hotel which aims to preserve traditional and regional cuisine and encourages the farming of local plants and seeds in combination with a tour by bike with a stop for visiting the pioneer bodega of organic wine and cava in the Penedés. Another example is a Barcelona Smart City or @22 bike tour by electric scooter, Picasso Recycle workshop, etc.
