¡New flight connections to Bilbao from Stockholm!
A big opportunity to discover the city
Bilbao is rising as an icon of innovation and avant-garde, so that more and more people are interested in discovering the capital of Biscay. Bilbao is a benchmark for gastronomy on an international level, with various events that corroborate this fact. For example, this year the city will host the event The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, considered the Oscars of gastronomy. Regarding its wide cultural range, we would highlight the emblematic Guggenheim museum and events such as the celebration of the 25th edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) that will take place on 4th November 2018.
From the spring of this year 2018, the Swedes who want to fly to Bilbao will be able to say goodbye to the endless scales that, in some cases, can last more than five hours.
Norwegian has established a new route that will connect the airport of Bilbao (Loiu) with Stockholm’s Arlanda, thus facilitating accessibility to the Basque city and as a result, business opportunities with the Swedish market. This new route will have a frequency of two flights per week, which will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from May 2nd to August 29th, 2018.
There is not only good news for the Swedish market, as the company will return the flights between Bilbao and Oslo for this summer season, which frequency is also two weekly connections, taking place on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well. This route will be enabled this coming July 20th until August 11th.
These routes will be carried out with the Boeing 737-8 aircraft, which has a capacity of 186 people and free Wi-Fi on board.
Thanks to this accessibility opportunity and the intrinsic characteristics of the city, the Scandinavians are increasingly choosing Bilbao as a MICE destination, offering the perfect environment and infrastructures to hold an event. In fact, our client Incentives Barcelona, an agency that organizes incentive trips, meetings and events for corporate clients operating in the destination Spain, has been offering this destination for 4 years and declares that it has been very successful since then.
