An unforgettable and original experience
From 15th to 19th of October 2017, our client Incentives Barcelona organized a fantastic program for 9 event organizers from a multinational company with offices in Scandinavia. The participants came from Stockholm, Kalmar, Oslo, Copenhagen and Helsinki, so it was a good opportunity to present them new things that the city of Barcelona has to offer.
The moment could not be better to show them before the end of the year, that Barcelona is a city in constant evolution and tourist development.
The participants stayed at the newly opened Hotel SOFIA, that offers 465 rooms and 22 multipurpose conference rooms, which are modern and equipped with the most advanced technology to ensure a good development for any type of event.
The program included activities as a mosaic workshop in the Gothic Quarter, where all of us felt a little bit like Gaudí and we were able to take our artwork home as a souvenir. At night, we could enjoy a fun activity where a cocktail professional taught us how to prepare a “Gimlet”. Later, we had dinner at a clandestine restaurant.
Without doubt, the activity that surprised the group the most, was the homeless tour. It consisted in a visit to the Gothic and Raval quarters with a guide who has lived on the streets in the past and now works for a company that helps them live a decent life. Udo, our guide, showed us the most relevant cultural and social aspects, but also shared with the group his heart-touching personal story. It was really exciting to meet him and everyone agreed with the fact that this activity should be included in all programs.
At night, we enjoyed a delicious dinner in another clandestine and hidden space, a place you would never go to unless a professional agency organizes for you this event.
We spent the next day in the Penedés area, where we rode an electric bike through the vineyards of a family winery dedicated to the production of Cava and Wines. We were very lucky with the weather, which was 20ºC and incredibly sunny, something that allowed us to spend as much time possible outdoors. We finished the tour with an assortment of tapas with magnificent views of the valley and surrounded by nature.
The program concluded with the inauguration of the Show in the ZUU space of Hotel SOFIA. We enjoyed an exquisite dinner and a show that is a mix of Moulin Rouge and modern Cabaret. It was a fun way to end the Fam Trip, and everyone left with a good feeling, probably remembering their visit to Barcelona for a long time. For us it was a real pleasure to meet everyone in person and to spend 3 days together. We hope to see you again soon with your groups!
