Since last year we have incorporated Storytelling and Sustainability into our promotional events
On the 5th and 6th of March 2024 we have celebrated the second edition of our Roadshow with our Spanish partners and Scandinavian event planners. This time we have rented 2 Venues instead of meeting spaces in a hotel and it was a hit. We organized our MAXmorning at Convendum Kungsgatan in Stockholm and at DEG 8 on the 13th floor in Oslo. We were really lucky with the sunny weather as the views from DEG 8 to the Opera House and the Munch Museum were breathtaking.
In February we did a zoom session with Hanne Olsen, who is a journalist who writes about art, culture and travel with Spain as a specialty, and she writes and photographs for Danish media and her own travel site. In addition, she helps tourist offices, travel agencies and others in the tourism industry as well as cultural institutions to find and communicate their unique stories. She previously worked as a theater director, and she has a Bachelor’s degree in theater and film from the University of Copenhagen.
Hanne shared her knowledge with all of us regarding Storytelling and did follow up phone calls 2 weeks before the event to make sure that everyone had worked on their story. Additionally we wanted to make sure that all the Venues had a specific certification in terms of sustainability in order to be aligned with our values.
We have choosen special Venues in Stockholm and Oslo that have sustainable certifications to ensure that our event has been carried out in the right way
CONVENDUM is embarking on a new era of environmental responsibility. With a Swedish Environmental Diploma, they are actively engaged in promoting sustainability and adopting eco-friendly practices. Their continuous efforts contribute to fostering a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible office market, showcasing their commitment to minimizing environmental impact and adhering to the highest standards.
DEG 8 is has recently obtain the certificate called “BREEAM In-Use” which is a scheme designed to help building managers to reduce running costs and improve environmental performance. They choose Dugurd as their catering supplier due to their focus on sustainability, ecological products and climate measurements. Their design manual is focused on quality furniture and materials that will last and avoid plastic and one-off products.
We have been promoting following partners from Spain during our Roadshow: Barceló La Nucía & Occidental Pueblo Acantilado from Mallorca, Hotel Calipolis from Sitges, Cap Vermell Grand Hotel and Mon Hotels from Mallorca, Lopesan MICE and DMC inSuite from Gran Canaria. It was a pleasure to work with all of them and to be able to attract corporate clients while making sure that Spain is always top of mind.
