Fam Trips will always be the best way to show our destination to the event planners
From 23-25th March we did an educational trip to Madrid organized by our local DMC partner maximice events group and explored the Spanish capital with 5 event planners from Denmark and Norway. We enjoyed a lot of activities, good food and nice weather with great people. After just 3-4 hours they all had the feeling to know each other since ever.
On Thursday we welcomed first our participants from Norway and had a nice tapas lunch within walking distance from our hotel. We stayed at fantastic VP Plaza de España Design Hotel, which is located in the heart of Madrid and has a wide offer for meetings and events. 3 hours later the second group arrived and we went together to discover the old town on foot and enjoyed a traditional flamenco show with dinner.
Did you know that Madrid has evolved so much in the past 5 years? So many new hotels and activities!
The next day we were ready for our Tuk Tuk ride on electric vehicles and saw the city from a different perspective. We stopped for a Ham tasting and walked to our restaurant for a traditional madrilenian lunch. Our fun music adventure started at Plaza Mayor and was a new activity that nobody had tried before. We got music headphones and danced to choreography or to our own rhythm. It was so much fun!
It was time to relax and discover Madrid from above so we did some roof hopping. After some time to refresh we went by walk to Galeria Canalejas and had dinner in a fancy restaurant. The night ended with drinks at Gingko Skybar at Hotel VP Plaza de España Design Hotel with a show. On Saturday was our last day and we went for a guided tour at the Royal Palace and a farewell tapas lunch in the sun.
We had an amazing time all together and we are not sure if this was a fam trip or a fun trip. I guess it was both, because the energy was incredible. I have the feeling that the participants have already some clients in mind and will offer them Madrid in the near future.
