Today we dedicate the post of the week to TEDx events. Usually they celebrate an event once or twice a year in each city where some of the most important thinkers and entrepreneurs in the world share what they are most passionate about. “TED” stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design, three major areas that together are shaping our future. In fact, the event accommodates a wider thematic show “ideas worth explaining,” whatever their discipline.
In fact we have seen videos of anonymous TEDx Talkers with strong communication skills and people with important messages. The talks usually last about 10 minutes and themes may vary from “the power of a smile”, “the issues facing the next generation” or “watching the Earth” among others. All issues that in one way or another affect us all.
TED was first held in Monterey, California, in 1984 with the aim of disseminating the most interesting ideas and it has created a program of local conferences, raised and organized independently and voluntarily, allowing you to enjoy in different countries of the world a similar experience of TED conferences.
We love the format of half-day events where live chats and TEDTalks are combined with the aim of publicizing ideas and projects related to the city where the event is held. In Spain in 2015 there will be events in Madrid, Barcelona, Valladolid and Cordoba among others.
Their motto is “We are passionate about the power of ideas. In our events we unify restless and curious minds and present extraordinary ideas. “
We are a TEDx events fan! What about you?
